My name is Marcus Martin. I am an aspiring Educational Consultant. I have seven years of concrete experience in Higher Education as an Academic Specialist - Advisor, Life Coach and Adjunct Instructor. Throughout these seven years I have developed sustainable skills and high-impact practices to increase student success, access, term persistence and graduation rates. As a professional advisor, life coach and facilitator, my work focuses on preparing young adults for their first year college experience. I engage in this work by enhancing student success programs and first year student seminar classes. For over 7 years I have worked to develop skills needed to improve student outcomes, researched best practices, and implemented strategies that have enabled disadvantaged and marginalized students succeed.
